It feels like just yesterday he was a baby and in diapers. Now he's a 7 year old boy who likes to talk back. And say "No!"
Some of my favorite moments from his toddler years:
When Tyler wanted to get picked up but couldn't say full sentences yet, he would put both of his little chubby arms up and say "uppie!"
He was attached to his pacifier or what we referred to as his "mimis" or "binky". He took that thing everywhere he went. He probably went through 50 mimis during those times. He always found a way to lose it. If we were out and he lost his mimis I would have to find a store that sold one ASAP so that he would be content the rest of our time away from the house. Oh, the things you do for your kids to keep them happy!
I remember on hot Summer days he would be playing around the house wearing only a diaper. He looked so adorable.
He was very into trains. Especially Thomas the Train. Whenever we would be driving around and he would see a train or something that resembled a train he would say "choooo choooo!"
Sometimes I long for those days when he was in diapers and he couldn't talk back. But then again there is nothing better than watching my big boy run off the school bus with a huge smile to come greet me. Or hearing him giggle from the next room over because he saw something funny on TV. Or having him draw me pictures that say "To: Mommy, I Love You." just because. Those are the moments that I will cherish forever even when he is grown up.
To celebrate for Tyler's 7th Birthday we had his party at Chuck E. Cheeses. (This was Tyler's choice, for I would never have picked to have a party there. It was total chaos but he had fun!)
Ten kids came to his b-day party and I am proud to say it was a total success. Tyler and his friends had a blast. Here are some photos from Tyler's special day.
