I had never flown a kite in my life before. Neither had Tyler. So I was a little weary when we decided to give it a try. I wasn't sure if we would even be able to get it off the ground. But we did! It took a few tries. But we figured it out. My friend Sarah came a long to help too. It was a lot of fun. Until our kite got stuck in the tree. It looked like something you would see in a movie. It was soaring like a bird and the next thing you know it's caught on the very top branch of a tree. We pulled and tugged and when it wouldn't budge we realized this kite is not coming down out of the tree. Tyler was very disappointed. I felt so bad for him. His first time flying a kite and now it's stuck up in a tree with no chance of it coming down. But fortunately this great little boy who had been watching the whole time cut the string and got it down for us. He spent probably 30 minutes trying too. He was an awesome little kid! Tyler was so happy to have his kite back. Next time we will stay far away from the trees :)
Even though Tyler got upset when his kite would crash to the ground, I am proud of him for continuing to try again. Over all it was a fun experience for us. We will definitely be going back for more kite flying!
